Are These Future ‘Bestie’ Winners? (We Think So!)

» NewsChannel 13’s Allison Finch and Adirondack Axe lead the pack.  « By MORGAN FECHTER

We set out to identify some people and places that might make future Bestie winners around the Capital Region. Here’s what we came up with.

NewsChannel 13’s Allison Finch

Allison Finch began as a part-time weather anchor at NewsChannel 13 in January. At press time, she’s in her last semester at the University at Albany, where she’s studying atmospheric science and mathematics. You can watch her forecasts on Thursdays at noon and Sunday mornings.

Adirondack Axe

870 U.S. 9, Queensbury
Adirondack Axe opened last December and offers guests the opportunity to (safely) engage in the sport of axe throwing. Book an hour-long open throwing session for 1-4 people or schedule a group session by appointment.

Union Hall Supply Co.
437 Broadway, Saratoga Springs
Union Hall Supply Co., one of Saratoga’s only menswear shops, opened its doors in summer 2019 and offers a selection of classic but trendy clothing—from brands such as Alchemy Goods, Tailor Vintage and Alternative Tees—that have a “lived in” feel.

Heather’s Naturals
432 Franklin Street, Schenectady
Heather’s Naturals is a dream for beauty and skincare lovers. Its products include a variety of organic cosmetics, as well as CBD-infused items and beauty supplements.

Britches of Troy
216 River Street, Troy
Britches of Troy is a new menswear shop that opened in October 2019, offering trendy and affordable apparel for the fashion-conscious man. Customers can book appointments for personalized styling sessions.
